Orange JOOSE Ultimate

So for those of you who didn’t notice, we just announced Orange JOOSE Ultimate’s tryout dates for Saturday, May 1st and Saturday, May 8th at 2pm each day, at the Reflecting Pool fields. We’re announcing tryouts waaayyy in advance this year so everyone will be able to mark it off ahead of time. This also gives us a chance to get 2 practices in before Bell Crack, May 15-16, which JOOSE will be submitting a bid to as soon as registration officially opens. If you can’t make either of the tryout dates or Bell Crack, just let us know at orangejooseultimate@gmail.com, and we’ll work something out.

In other news, the new jerseys for this season should be designed pretty soon- I’ve seen some of the first drafts, and let me just say they look prettyyyy, pretty awesome. I’m just gonna throw some words at you, and you can envision what it might look like: Fire. Dragon. JOOSE. Let your imagination run wild with that one. We’ll be (hopefully) offering both our white and dark jerseys for sale to the general public to raise tournament funds as soon as we have the final designs, so you too can be a JOOSEr (mom will be so proud!)

Other than that, we’re continuing to make big boy moves across the board. We’re getting emails from people every day who are down to ride the JOOSE train to Happytown, making stops in Scoobersville with connecting trains to Allnightdancepartysburg. We hope you’ll join us.

That’s right, the sequel. I promise it won’t be as bad as any of these sequels (frankly I’m not sure why Weekend at Bernie’s 2 is on there, what asshole made this list). In fact, Orange JOOSE Ultimate season 2 is already shaping up to be an even bigger hit than our first blockbuster. Get ready for BIGGER hucks, FASTER D-lines, HIGHER alcohol content by volume, and (hopefully) some super-awesome explosions. With a great core of returning players, as well as additions from elite level club teams from around the region, this season has the potential to be even joosier than the first.

We’re already on the lookout for tourneys to rip up- like last year, we’ll try to attend between 4-5 tourneys before Sectionals. Last year we had a great time (twice!) in Worton MD for the Drift Wood Huck Fest and Summer Daze Disc Harvest, and at Horsetown Throwdown in Potomac before we hit up Sectionals and Regionals. We’d love to attend all of those tournaments again (especially Regionals), as well as add a few new ones to the mix.
